Scholarship Program
Probably the most rewarding event of all
that is sponsored By Project Success and its sponsors is the
presentation of Scholarship money to deserving Drug Free Red
Oak High School Seniors. Many of these students are the same
who signed drug free contracts as 5th graders and who have
become leaders in the fight to keep drugs and alcohol out of
our schools. Project Success is proud to support the dreams
of these students and with
YOUR SUPPORT we hope to do even more in the future.
We are encouraged and committed to work
hard to keep this community safe. We thank you for
supporting a program we believe is making a difference in
the lives of our young people. Thank you for anything you
can do to help us in this program.
Point System
1-5 pts – Basic Application – Based on
Essay and Letters of Recommendation.
1pts - Applicant in good standing – non- HADDIT (or other PS
sponsored organization)
2pts - Applicant in good standing – HADDIT (or other PS
sponsored organization member)
1pt - HADDIT Officer (1 pt. For each year)
1pt - HADDIT Event Chairperson (1 pt. For each event)
1pt - Each Documented Community Service Event (must have
documentation
Additional rules may be set on # that have to be given to HADDIT members
Additional rules may also apply for character pts given by
board or program coordinator (if so ordered by the board)

Requirements
Applicants must submit a handwritten 250
word or less essay that is signed and dated on why they
are applying for said scholarships.
Applicants for 1,000.00 – Sarah Taylor
Scholarship & 1,000.00 – HADDIT Scholarship must be
members in good standing of HADDIT. (this will come from
Membership forms that must be submitted the student’s
senior year, must be on File)
Applicants must have good attendance
records, no truancy issues, and must be passing all
classes with no serious disciplinary records.
Applicants for scholarships other than
Sarah Taylor and HADDIT may apply for PS scholarships but
must have shown positive community service (need
documentation of some sort of this from sponsor).
Applicants must submit the standard
application form required for all scholarships for ROISD.

Applicant must have minimum of 1 and
maximum of 3 letter(s) of recommendation from teacher, or
other community member.
Applicant must answer below questions:
If you have been involved in HADDIT or
the Mentor program, in what
ways have you been involved (if not involved list N/A)
If you were involved in HADDIT – have
you been an officer?
If you were involved in HADDIT – have
you been an event chairperson? If so what event and what
year?
What types of Community Service
Activities have you taken part in?
How has making drug free choices
influenced your character?
